iPad Pro to feature Matte Display...

According to the Weibo leaker "Instant Digital," Apple's upcoming iPad Pro models will introduce a matte display option for the first time. This new feature will be available alongside the traditional glossy glass finish. The matte display is said to have a haze ranging from -4° to +29° and may incorporate blue-light blocking technology for eye protection. While matte screen protectors for iPads have gained popularity, Apple may now be offering this option directly to consumers.

It's unclear if the matte display will utilize "nano-texture" glass similar to that of the Pro Display XDR and Studio Display, although it seems plausible. Nano-texture glass reduces glare by scattering light, making it ideal for environments with bright lighting. However, it can slightly diminish image quality. This type of glass has primarily been used in desktop displays and requires special care during cleaning due to its textured surface.

There's speculation that the matte display option might extend to the next-generation iPad Air models, although this hasn't been confirmed by the leaker. Instant Digital also hinted at the upcoming announcement of new iPad models next week.

Previously, Instant Digital mentioned that the iPhone 17 would feature an anti-reflective display that's more scratch-resistant than Apple's Ceramic Shield. While it's unclear if this technology is related to the matte display option for iPads, it remains a possibility.

Instant Digital's track record in leaking Apple-related information has been mixed, but their claims have proven accurate in some instances, such as revealing the iPhone 14's Yellow spring refresh and the Apple Watch Series 9's hardware update. However, they've also made inaccurate predictions about certain iOS 17 features and the release of a new iPad Air in October 2023.
