Security Risks with Chrome...

Google released new versions of Chrome for Windows, macOS, and Linux, addressing 12 vulnerabilities, none of which have been exploited so far. Seven vulnerabilities were discovered by external security researchers and reported to Google, with one classified as high risk (CVE-2024-2625) in the V8 Javascript engine. The remaining five were deemed medium risk, with the potential for code injection and execution. Google awarded $22,000 USD in rewards to the discoverers. Chrome 123 doesn't introduce new features and typically updates automatically. Users can manually check for updates through the browser's menu. Chrome for Android and iOS also received updates. Manufacturers of other Chromium-based browsers, including Microsoft Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera, are expected to follow suit with updates soon.
